Katrina Rachuy, L.ac, MACOM, Dipl. OM
Katrina is a 2015 graduate of Oregon College of Oriental Medicine (OCOM). There, she studied Chinese medicine as a whole. She therefore brings a thorough knowledge of Chinese acupuncture meridian therapy, Chinese herbology, Tui Na- a Chinese massage technique, moxibustion and cupping to the St. Cloud community. At OCOM, she also studied biomedicine and regularly incorporates this knowledge into her treatments, often using electro- acupuncture stimulation and neuromuscular acupuncture techniques.
Katrina is an avid herbalist and lifelong learner. She knew by the age of three that she wanted to find a way to help people. She found Chinese medicine while attending her undergraduate program at The Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA. She found relief of chronic symptoms, lasting healing, a deep sense of peace and a heightened sense of well being from her time on the acupuncture treatment table and taking Chinese herbs. This lead her to pursue her Master’s degree at OCOM and move into a career and life path of helping people heal.
Acupuncture is the insertion of sterile, single use, very fine filiform needles into meridian points.
Cupping is an excellent therapy to release tension from sore, knotted and overused muscles.
Chinese herbalism is arguably the most sophisticated system of herbalism currently known today.
